About Me
- Maya
- Originally from the Maritimes, Maya moved to Ottawa for her undergraduate studies in Music and Sonic Design (New Media program) from Carleton University. Following her undergrad she studied at the Ottawa School of Art, completed an Artist Residency in Toronto, and a graduate program in Professional Illustration from Algonquin College. In 2011 she was accepted into the City of Ottawa’s Artist Studio Program. As an artist her interests have primarily been the study of visual music and narrative through figurative drawings. She has exhibited her work in various group and solo shows in Ottawa and Toronto. Maya currently works as an illustrator, exhibiting fine artist, and arts instructor.
